APPS: Are you hAPPy with Brenda, LezFindr, Dattch & FindHrr? We tried and tested them all! June 2013 | Read the full review here
Once you're done with the nostalgia, you can read on and find out what app choices you have today.
The first thing I have noticed is that there is more choice available. The second, and most important is that they are all offering quite different features. Below we have done a comparison so that you can see what is best for you.
Our original review featured Brenda, Dattch, LezFindr and FindHrr. Now we also have Wing Ma'am, My Pocket Planet, LesFinder, L Beach Planet and FindHer.

Our original review was all about the apps and how they helped you to find women. Apps are evolving and now include much more. Apps are being designed around the community; your lifestyle and of course women! There is much more thought going into the design and features.

social networking for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
This app is extremely popular. It has a large number of active users. I spoke to a few of my friends and they said it was their preference for older, more stable LBQ women! Easy to use |
| Dattch website |
Free | iPhone | Aug 2012 London, UK |
social networking for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
Clean and I like the large images. The would you rather game seems a little pointless in that you are comparing women to inaninate objects - I'd rather celesbians or other lesbians |
| FindHer website |
Free | iPhone | 2014 Australia |
social networking for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
This is a fairly new app; and also an Australian one. Don't be put off though as it has a growing UK user group. Most users are on the younger side at present. Images are vetted before being uploaded |

| FindHrr website |
Free to install. Optional upgrade £2.99 pm/£13.99py | iPhone | Feb 2013 London, UK |
social networking for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
Since the re-brand and re-launch in April, this app has lost the events and venue directory. It still contains the lesbian utopia map - great for deciding where to live if you want to immerse yourself into the lesbian community! |
| LesFinder website |
Free | iPhone | Jan 2014 USA |
social networking for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
This app is kind of like a lesbian Facebook. You add friends and can view a newsfeed and upload photos and videos. It links to external content. |
| LezFindr website |
Free | iPhone, Android | Oct 2012 USA |
social networking for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
This app is great if you aren't very techy and just want to view profiles and chat to women. |
| L Beach Planet website |
Free | iPhone, Android | 2013 Germany |
L Beach Festival app with social networking for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
I haven't used this app lots; it doesn't have a lot of UK users and a lot of the content is in German language. It has potential if it had more users. It is a little stalkerish in that you can go into 'I visited' and see who you have looked at and who has looked at you. Not sure if I like this or not! |
| App Name | Cost | Format | Origin | Purpose | Features | Pros and Cons | General Comments |
| My Pocket Planet website |
£1.25 | iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire | Feb 2014 London, UK |
lifestyle and loyalty app for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
Although this app costs £1.25 to download; unlike various free apps available - it has the ability to save you lots of money so is well worth the small amount up front. The famous Planet London events calendar is super charged and fully loaded on this app and it is bursting with content, as well as a 'Costa Coffee' style loyalty card where you collect stamps when you buy drinks in LBQ bars. |
| Wing Ma'am website |
Free | iPhone | Jan 2014 USA |
social networking for LBQ women | General Features
|
Pros
|
I like the idea of this app - empowering women to set up their own social scene. Kind of like Meet Up but in an app. The name is very American and may put off some UK users but I'd urge you to take a look at the very least before you judge on the cover |
To help you decide we have also downloaded some screen shots of each app.

So, which one will you download? Perhaps you have them all? If you use any of these apps, or know of others, why not share your experience here?
